Chelsea Silvermintz

Occupation: Band director in the Lindbergh School District since 2008.  I teach 6-12 grade: beginner clarinets, 7th/8th grade woodwinds, Freshman Band, woodwind choir, and assist with the Concert Band.

Mentors/Musical Heroes: Dr. Scott S. Hanna at the University of Texas who greatly influenced my career and life decisions, including my decision to move to the great state of Missouri from Texas, and my grandmother, Juanita Bryant, who was compassionate, strong, and taught me to always be on time.

Favorite Brass Band Piece: The Floral Dance


Chelsea earned a Bachelor of Music in Music Studies from The University of Texas at Austin and my Master of Music from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.  She is currently a member of the Missouri Music Educators' Association, Missouri Bandmasters Association, and and alumnus of Sigma Alpha Iota.  

Chelsea currently resides in Chesterfield, MO with her husband (an amazing choir director at Parkway Central High School), son, Sawyer, and two dogs, Bertram and Major.
